This week on “Emme’s Classic Island Moments” we revisit women of the new millennium with Executive Vice President of Halekulani Corporation Patricia Tam, Hawaiian Airlines pilot Zoe Ann Roach and Napua Thatcher, a woman who lived a life of drugs and homelessness, but today reclaims her life. Also featured is former First Lady Vicky Cayetano who co hosted the show with Emme in 2000.
Patricia Tam tells Emme how she quickly moved up the ladder from being a pastry chef at a bakery to the General Manager at Halekulani Hotels and Resorts and now Executive Vice President of Halekulani Corporation. Find out what pushes her to keep striving for the best.
With a variety of faces as a former model, beauty queen and flight attendant, Zoe Ann Roach Tyler shares her climb to the skies as a pilot for Hawaiian Airlines. The story takes us to her home island of Lanai and how she earned her wings now as Captain Zoe Ann Tyler.
Former First Lady, Vicky Cayetano, was also part of this special program done back in 2000. As a wife, mother and President/CEO of a thriving company called United Laundry Services, Inc., Cayetano shares her thoughts on balancing work and home responsibilities.
Also featured is Napua Thatcher, who earned several college degrees after living on the streets and conquering drug addiction. She offers lessons of hope, sacrifice and self-determination to make the necessary changes for a better life.
