On the next edition of “Emme’s Classic Island Moments” join Emme Tomimbang, her co-host master sommelier Chuck Furuya and Hawaii’s top chefs as they visit their favorite places to “grind.
The year is 1998, and on this “classic” show Emme took four chefs to their specialty “mom and pop restaurants” to eat local grinds with a bottle of wine, with pairings made by Furuya.
Special guest chefs include:
• Roy Yamaguchi, Roy’s Restaurants
• Alan Wong, Alan Wong’s Restaurant / The Pineapple Room
• Russell Siu, 3660 On the Rise
• Jean Marie Josselin, Josselin’s Tapas Bar & Grill
A few of the popular Hawaii eateries featured on the show were: Kam Bowl, Leong’s, Helen’s Chinese Food and Side Street Inn.
Reminisce with Emme on her ‘local grinds’ excursion and remember those island food landmarks we’ve sadly had to say goodbye to.
