Join television personality Emme Tomimbang as she journeys to the city that glitters all night long, Las Vegas, sampling great golf, world-class cuisine, and premier entertainment showrooms. Also known as “Hawaii’s 9th island” due to its popularity as a vacation destination and residence of island ex-patriots, Las Vegas is constantly reinventing itself and featuring new and exciting attractions. But the island connections to this desert playground are stronger than ever, as Emme discovered during her recent travels. Anchored on location from the newly-renovated Caesar’s Palace Resort & Casino, EMME’s Island Moments will feature the following:

Hawaii pro golfer Dean Wilson shares with us his home-away-from-home in Las Vegas, his hectic touring schedule, his life both on and off the course, and how much he misses Hawaii;

Renowned local chef Jean-Marie Josselin’s “808” is attracting new and adventurous culinary explorers of Asian fusion cuisine to the beautiful Caesar’s Palace promenade;

The NEW Society of Seven is packing them in at the famous Flamingo Hilton, with Filipina star Lani Misalucha and Hawaii’s own Jasmine Trias;

We get a rare behind-the-scenes view of the Vegas strip’s longest-running Polynesian show, The Imperial Palace Hawaiian Luau, enticing vacationers with a taste of the islands;

And the scoop on the future of the fabulous Caesar’s Palace Showroom; “Farewell” to diva Celine Dion and “Hello” to Hawaii’s own Bette Midler in 2008!;

Plus a fond look back at a man who WAS Hawaii, and who helped pave the way for local performers in this jet-set showcase...our very own Don Ho. A special new message from the Ho family in response to the outpouring of affection on the passing of this icon will help us bid farewell to someone truly larger than life.
